Pipe Hawk Survey Service

PIPE HAWK gives a complete underground picture of the site you need to drill or excavate. If there are pipes or cables, made of plastic, metal or other material, you will know where they lie, and how far down. No other technology, and no other portable product using ground probing radar, gives you so much underground intelligence. The base of PIPE HAWK contains a radar antenna, fed from a transmitter powered by a heavy-duty battery. As PIPE HAWK is pushed over a site, the wheels trigger off transmissions through the aerial at regular intervals. A receiver, that analyses and records data on a hard disk picks up the reflections from these transmissions PIPE HAWK scores a hit including variations caused by obstructions underground.

Following a series of radar scans to cover the area of the site and give depth information, the recorded data is then subjected to further analysis by PIPE HAWK specialist software.

The information is used to create a digital map of the site showing underground services, indicating depth and direction. The results are supplied on paper and on disk in CAD format. The information can then be added to existing drawings and used in other ways, such as building an archive.
