The use of trenchless technology benefits are many. The need to install, replace or renovate an underground utility service at the least cost; to minimise damage to the highways and disruption to traffic; to minimise any adverse impact on the environment and the need to maximise the safety aspects for both the workmen and the public are some of the many potential benefits from the Technology. Trenchless technology systems for underground utility services fall into three broad categories:
Trenchless technology is concerned largely with services too small to permit man entry, generally up to about 900mm diameter. Finally, I would like you to consider your organisation's present construction techniques or the impact of the installation of services by others on your assets, and the need for alternatives to conventional, open-cut trenching. I believe that the Society may be highly relevant to your organisation and can provide you with the most up-to-date information on technical advances and trends in this type of construction. Should you have any further questions concerning membership to the Society, please
